Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Miimo. By subscribing to or using the app, you agree to them.
Your licence
Miimo grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, in line with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the standard Apple licensed-application end-user licence agreement (EULA).
Who can use Miimo
You need to be old enough to hold your own Apple Account and to agree to these terms where you live. Miimo is a tool for recording, note-taking and study, and it is not directed at children.
Your account
Miimo requires an account, created with Sign in with Apple, and there is no way into the app without one. Keep your Apple Account secure — anyone who can sign in as you can use your subscription. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account; deleting it does not cancel your subscription, which is managed through the App Store. What the account stores, and what deleting it removes, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Miimo Pro subscription
Miimo is a paid app: an active subscription — or a free trial — is required to use it. Without one, you can reach the sign-in screen and the paywall, and nothing else.
- Plans. Monthly and yearly options are offered; the current price and billing period are shown on the paywall before you buy.
- Free trial. Eligible new subscribers may start with a one-week free trial on either plan. Eligibility is decided by Apple, per Apple Account — if you have used a Miimo trial before, you'll be shown plain prices instead. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically.
- Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase and on each renewal.
- Managing & cancelling. Manage or cancel anytime in the App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Payment problems. If a renewal charge fails, Apple retries for a while. Miimo keeps working during that window and tells you, but access ends if the payment is never completed.
- Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies; Miimo cannot issue refunds directly.
Your content
Everything you capture in Miimo is yours. It is stored on your device, we never receive it, and we claim no rights over it. That also means we can't recover it for you — see Backups below.
Acceptable use
Use Miimo lawfully. Record and capture only content you have the right to, and comply with the laws that apply where you are — including any rules about recording conversations and consent. This applies equally to recording your device's system audio on a Mac, iPhone or iPad — including a broadcast you start from Apple's picker, which keeps recording while you're in another app — and to capturing a screen or a deck: the person using Miimo is responsible for having the right to record what it hears and sees.
Don't use Miimo to break the law, to infringe someone's rights, or to interfere with the app's licensing or subscription checks.
On-device intelligence
Miimo's intelligence runs locally and is provided "as is." Transcripts, translations, summaries, study material, and assistant answers are generated by on-device models and may contain errors, including confident ones. Don't rely on them for decisions where accuracy is critical without checking the source.
Miimo requires Apple Intelligence. On a device where Apple Intelligence isn't supported, isn't turned on, or isn't available in your device's language, Miimo cannot be used until it is — the app tells you what's missing and points you to the right place in Settings.
Optional speech models you download — Whisper and similar — are third-party open models, provided by their publishers under their own licences and without warranty from us. They use significant storage and, on some devices, may not run at all.
When you ask the assistant to search the web or to read a link, that request goes to a third-party search engine or website. Their content, terms, and privacy policies are theirs, not ours, and we neither endorse nor take responsibility for what comes back.
Backups
Miimo does not back your library up to any cloud, including ours. Deleting the app deletes everything in it. Use Settings → Backup to make your own copies, and keep them somewhere you trust — recovering lost content is not something we can do for you.
Feedback
If you send us feedback, you're giving us permission to use it to improve Miimo, without obligation or payment. Don't include anything confidential — the compose screen shows exactly what gets sent.
Availability and changes to the app
Miimo evolves. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and support for older systems and devices may end. We may suspend or end access to an account that breaks these terms or abuses the service.
Disclaimer & liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Miimo is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including lost or inaccurate content. Keep your own backups of anything important.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version ships inside the app with the date above revised.
